| Initial reports indicated a female possibly in cardiac arrest. Chief 23 and Deputy 17 arrived on scene simultaneously and quickly assessed the situation, determining the patient was experiencing a serious medical emergency but was not in cardiac arrest. Immediate care was initiated while additional resources responded.
Command 17 and Medic 23 arrived on scene shortly after, approximately two minutes later, and assisted with patient care and further evaluation. Due to the patient’s condition, it was determined that rapid transport via medical helicopter would be necessary.
Engine Rescue 17 was then requested to establish a landing zone at the Morris Township Recreation Center. Crews responded promptly and secured the area, ensuring a safe and efficient landing zone for incoming air medical services.
Company 17 remained on scene assisting EMS until the patient was transferred for air transport. |
