| That’s right — we have packed up Punxsutawney Phil’s tiny suitcase ourselves and escorted him straight out of town. Six more weeks of winter? Yeah… we’re not buying it anymore. Phil has been relieved of his forecasting duties and is currently walking south until he finds sunshine.
HOWEVER… We are pleased to announce we are welcoming his brother (the smarter one), who enjoys warm weather, Hawaiian shirts, and flip-flop season. He has assured us that he does not believe in shadows, blizzards, or scraping windshields.
Now, onto the part where we pretend we know what’s happening:
Current snow predictions are, in true Pennsylvania fashion, completely across the board. We’re seeing projected accumulations anywhere between 3 and 8 inches.
If the system behaves? 3 inches. If it gets ambitious? 8 inches. If it shifts west? Lord help us… it could be a LOT more If it slides east? We might just see flurries and be grilling in hoodies.
In other words… we are watching it closely from the warmth of the station with snacks ready and plows on standby.
As always, this post is for fun — but we ARE keeping an eye on the system. Stay safe, drive carefully, and if you see Phil heading out of town… don’t stop him.
Sincerely, Your snow-weary but always ready Morris Township Fire Company 🚒 |
