Initial reports were of heavy smoke coming from the building. Shortly after dispatch, Chief 57-2 arrived on scene to confirm a working fire and upgraded the box to a second alarm to ensure appropriate manpower was on scene during the incident.

As Quint 17 and Engine Rescue 17 were responding, the first-arriving crews began an aggressive interior attack on the fire. Crew members from Station 17 assisted with suppression and overhaul.

Fire Police from Morris Twp were also requested to assist with shutting down Rt 350.

Upon the completion of the overhaul, Quint 17 was requested to transfer from the scene to Station 12 to provide a standby for Philipsburg.
