Initial reports indicated fire within the living room area.

While Engine Tanker 17 and multiple mutual aid companies were en route, an urgent radio transmission was received from Engine Tanker 16 advising they had lost control while negotiating a sharp curve due to adverse road conditions, resulting in impact with a tree. The crew reported multiple injuries with the driver entrapped within the apparatus.

The accident occurred on the sole access road to the structure fire. Responding apparatus staged to initiate patient care and extrication operations, while additional resources continued to the original incident. Engine Tanker 17 proceeded to the structure and encountered smoke conditions within the residence with no active fire present. Crews conducted a thorough primary search to confirm full extinguishment and initiated ventilation operations.

Later that day, Company 17 was dispatched to assist Clearfield Fire Company with a reported structure fire at the former county jail on North Second Street. Initial reports indicated smoke emanating from the rear of the building. Deputy 1 arrived first on scene, determined the smoke was actually steam, and placed all responding units in service following a complete building survey.

This morning at approximately 0330 hours with ambient temperatures at -15°F, Company 17 was dispatched to a garage fire located off Summit Hill Road.

Deputy 17 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire in a detached garage. Upon arrival of Quint 17 and Engine Tanker 17, crews made entry through a side door, deploying 2-inch 1¾-inch handlines, while additional personnel forced the garage doors to facilitate fire suppression operations.

As mutual aid companies arrived on scene, additional personnel were requested to assist with fire suppression and extensive overhaul operations following knockdown. The structure and all contents, including two vehicles and one motorcycle, were deemed a total loss.

Units remained on scene for approximately three hours before returning to service.

We would like to thank all responding mutual aid companies for their assistance.
