| Quint 17, Engine Tanker 17, and Rescue 17 responded promptly and arrived to find an active flue fire with concerns for possible extension into the structure.
Crews immediately began a thorough check for extension on all floors of the residence. Quint 17 took the address and extended operations to the flue, allowing crews to access and extinguish the fire within the flue system. Firefighters worked methodically to ensure that all hidden fires were located and extinguished, preventing further damage and ensuring the safety of the occupants.
Operations lasted approximately 90 minutes as crews worked to fully extinguish the fire and clear the flue. Once all hazards were mitigated and conditions were deemed safe, units returned to service.
