We’re proud to announce that the Morris Township Volunteer Fire Company has been awarded a grant to purchase new battery-operated rescue tools! The tools were ordered in January and have officially arrived.
Over the next few days, our dedicated volunteers will be removing the older hydraulic-line tools from the Engine-Rescue and installing the new Genesis Battery Tools. These state-of-the-art tools run on 18-volt Milwaukee batteries and offer improved efficiency and faster operation—allowing for quicker and safer extrications during emergencies.
The new equipment includes:
17C Combination Tool
S49 Spreader with a 28-inch spread
SLI 22-54 Ram
SLI 21-36 Ram
SC385 Cutter
These tools will be an invaluable asset to both our local community and travelers on Interstate 80.
A special thank you to PA State Rep. Dallas Kephart for his efforts in making this critical upgrade possible!
