| Engine Rescue 17 and Command 17 responded to the scene. First arriving units were met with a chaotic scene involving multiple injuries and heavy entrapment. Crews quickly went to work stabilizing vehicles and initiating extrication efforts. Due to the severity of the incident, two medical helicopters were placed on standby and advised they may be needed at the crash site. Multiple patients were ultimately transported by both ground EMS and air medical unit. At 13:28, while still operating, Engine Rescue 17 was dispatched from the scene to assist with an emergency medical call in Wallaceton. Later in the evening, Engine Rescue 17 was requested to assist the Grassflat Fire Company with a reported vehicle accident. Initial information indicated an iPhone crash notification. Upon arrival, crews located a cell phone lying in the roadway with no signs of an accident. If you are missing a phone, it can be recovered at the Clearfield Woodland PSP Barracks. Later that night, Engine Rescue 17 and Engine Tanker 17 responded to Houtzdale to assist with a reported structure fire near the old Electric Avenue area. Initial reports indicated smoke in the area; however, first arriving crews investigated and determined there was no emergency, placing the assignment available. |
