Yes… we are expecting icy conditions right as you’re backing out of the driveway wondering why you didn’t call off the night before.

What This Means:
Roads may resemble a figure skating competition.
Your driveway may suddenly identify as a bobsled track.
That confident “I’ve driven in this before” attitude? It may betray you.
Travel Impacts Could Include:
Longer stopping distances (as in… keep going… keep going… still going…).
Slow traffic.
That one car in the ditch that thought 4-wheel drive meant 4-wheel stop.

Our Professional Recommendation:
Leave early.
Drive slow.
Increase following distance.
Gently test your brakes — don’t stomp them like you’re putting out a kitchen fire.
If you don’t absolutely need to be out early, consider letting the sun clock in first.

We’d much prefer waving at you from the station than sliding out to meet you at the intersection.
Stay safe, take it easy, and remember: ice doesn’t care about your schedule.
