Storm Update from the Morris Township Fire Company Here we go again, folks

We are closely watching the incoming storm system that every weather app, meteorologist, backyard forecaster, and guy-with-a-radar-screenshot-on-Facebook is talking about. At the moment, most outlets are hovering around 5 inches of snow for our area.
Now — and this is a big now — we all know what that means.

A slight shift north? Brutal.
A slight shift south? Brutal.
A slight shift the other way? Sunny skies and people grilling in hoodies.
Basically, we could get 5 inches… or we could get buried… or we could be out there in sunglasses wondering why we moved the snowblower to the front of the garage.

As always, we’re monitoring conditions closely from the warmth of the station, fueled by coffee, snacks, and pure meteorological confusion. The models are in a heated debate with each other, and none of them are willing to blink first.

And while we’re on the topic — we would also like to formally announce that we are no longer on speaking terms with the groundhog and his “six more weeks of winter” prediction. We feel that rodent-based forecasting has run its course. We had trust. That trust has been shaken.

Bottom line:
Be prepared… or don’t.
Have the shovel ready… or the lawn chair.
Charge your phone… and maybe your snowblower.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on things and update you if the forecast shifts from “moderately inconvenient” to “why do we live here?”

Stay safe, stay warm, and remember — this is winter. Anything can happen.
